TIPS FOR SHAMPOO & CONDITIONING:
•    If your hair will allow, it is best to shampoo hair extensions every other day instead of shampooing daily.  This will prevent moisture loss.
•    To detangle your extensions, use a special hair extensions brush or a wide tooth comb.  A normal hair brush in not the best option for extensions and can lead to damage.  Start at the ends and work your way up, brushing or combing in a downward motion.
•    Use a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner for best results.    Avoid using scrubbing motions.  When conditioning, avoid the scalp area and just condition the hair rather than the scalp.  When rinsing, tilt your head backwards instead of forwards.  Be sure that all the shampoo and conditioner residues are washed out.
•    An excellent way to keep your extensions moisturized is to use a leave in conditioner.   Since hair extensions do not receive daily nourishment from roots like your normal hair, a leave in conditioner will give your extensions a dose of hydration and protection from damage and moisture loss.

TIPS FOR DRYING:
•    Never go to bed with wet hair.  If you shampoo your hair at night, make sure it is completely dry before turning in.
•    When blow drying your extensions, use a cool setting and a low speed as well as a diffuser attachment.  Do not dry your hair upside down.

TIPS FOR STYLING:
•    Use alcohol-free styling products.  Alcohol can be very drying to hair, and hair extensions need moisture to stay healthy and shiny.  Avoid hair sprays and other styling products with alchol.
•    Heat styling can decrease the life span of your extensions.  Over using flat irons, curling irons and blow dryers can damage your extensions over time, making them dry, dull, and brittle.  Always apply a heat protectant serum or spray to your hair before using any type of heat.  This is something that should be done to protect your natural hair anyway, even if you are not wearing extensions.

AT NIGHT:
•    When you sleep, you will want to make sure that your hair does not tangle.  You can either braid your hair or pull it into a soft bun or ponytail.  This will help prevent tangling during the night.
